I tried Cardi B's hair mask

DIY's have never really been my thing. I'm usually more comfortable buying a product instead of making it myself. When I stumbled upon an article talking about the hair mask Cardi B uses for herself and her daughter Kulture, I was intrigued...more so because I already had all of the products. To make this hydrating mask, you'll need an avocado, banana, some mayonnaise, eggs, black castor oil, argan oil and olive oil. I slightly altered the recipe because I didn't have argan or black castor oil so I used tea tree oil; I also used one egg instead of two.

When you mix all of the ingredients together, you should have a light green, creamy consistency.

Before applying the mask, I made sure my hair was a bit damp and of course detangled. I thought it would stink because of the egg but the tea tree oil really overpowered everything else. While applying the mask, it felt so good! My curls immediately popped and felt amazing; it's like the ingredients just melted into my hair.

I left it in for about an hour or so before rinsing it out. My hair looked shiny and just overall felt healthy. Based on personal experience, I give this mask a 9 out of 10. Would I do it again? Definitely. I think Cardi is onto something with this DIY!

Here's an extra video just so you can see how I was feeling this mask, lol. The definition goes crazy:

Until the week after next, xo.
