It stinks...real bad...but I think it works!
I first tried rice water about two years ago because of an influencer - Jaazz Mary. She started using rice water because after having her adorable son, she suffered from postpartum shedding. This caused her to pretty much lose her edges, as you can see in the video below. Jazz documented her journey on YouTube and put so many people on to this method to help with hair growth and shedding. After watching how far her hair came, I decided to try using rice water because of how much my hair shed; I used to shed like a dog - it was that bad.
Jazz held a 30 day rice water challenge that I didn't completely follow but still kind of partook in. Whenever it was time to wash my hair, I'd do the rice water rinse and then shampoo and condition as usual. Jazz warned how bad this concoction smells but I still wasn't prepared. Who knew a little rice with water could smell so bad?
From the first time I started using the rice water, I immediately noticed that I shed less. After a couple of weeks, I barely shed at all. To say I was surprised is an understatement! There are always hair growth tips and tricks that people share but, most of the time, it's BS...this time, speaking from experience, it's not.
Another warning: it stinks! Be prepared for the funk, lol.
QOTW: Do you know any other methods that promotes hair growth and reduces shedding? Share with me!
Until next week, xx
